Saltaire Brewery was established in 2005 and is dedicated to the production of high quality ales with a contemporary twist. The Brewery is close to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Saltaire Village, famous for its Victorian industrial heritage and is situated in an old generating hall that once provided the electricity for the Bradford trams. The lofty Victorian architecture provides a perfect home to the bespoke 20 barrel brewhouse and Mezzanine Bar.
Our permanent range is based around our bestselling Saltaire Blonde and our Cascade Pale Ale. Blonde is a soft, creamy, continental style ale with a gentle hop spiciness. Cascade is an American pale ale packed with resinous, piney, grapefruit flavored Cascade hops. Cascade has twice been voted the best premium bitter in the North of England, winning the National title in 2010.
We split some of the brews into blending tanks and add essences, syrups and a bit of magic to create our flavoured fruit brews such as Raspberry Blonde and our black IPA, Cascadian Black.
As well as these beers we are known for our flavoured dark beers such as the national award winner, Hazelnut Coffee Porter and the internationally acclaimed, Triple Chocoholic, ‘Europe’s Best Flavoured Stout’. Our love of New World hops can be seen in some better known occasional brews include the big American IPA, Stateside 6% abv and the sharp and tasty South Island Pale 3.5%.featuring hops from New Zealand.
All in all we have made over sixty different beers and we keep looking for new ingredients and new ways of making interesting and challenging ales.
