Tony Gartland – Head Brewer

A lawyer for twenty years who decided to take a different route to the bar! Trained at Brewlab, University of Sunderland and founded the brewery in 2005. Loves good beer and good food, together or separately. Supports Sunderland, so satisfaction has to come from his work rather than his football!

Favourite beer: Cascade Pale Ale, Schneider Weisse and Erdinger Dunkel Hobbies:  Cooking, cycling and skiing Gadget:  20 barrel brewery especially made for him by Mosechle of Germany! Best Holiday: OktoberFest 2004 (Sorry family!)
 
Derek Todd – Brewer

Derek was a chemist with GlaxoSmithkline Beecham when he met Tony on the Brewlab course in 2004. Foolishly, he gave up his job, sold his house and moved from his beloved North East! Now he slaves in the brewhouse, dedicated to making beers for you to enjoy. To crown his lot in life, he supports Darlington F.C.

Ewen – Sales Director

Joined the brewery in 2011 after working and travelling the world for 5 years. Devoted many hours to tasting beers along the way.

Favourite beer:  Stateside IPA, Brewdog Tokyo & Epic Mayhem Hobbies:  Football, badminton, squash, travelling, snowboarding, heli-skiing and anything fun! Gadget:  Still thinking………hmm, has to be my coffee maker! Gets me going. Best Holiday:  Extended holiday from 2006 – 2011
