Brewery Assistant Required!

A full time opportunity has come up for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the team and help bolster our culture of quality, creativity and continuous improvement making Saltaire the best it can be.


The successful candidate should be able to work well individually and as part of a team, have great attention to detail and be committed to doing things right every time. A flexible approach to work patterns is -required when necessary.


It’s a demanding job both physically and technically, but highly rewarding at the same time with potential to develop further as our business expands.


Main duties include:

– Transferring beer from vessel to vessel

– Checking and managing fermentations from start to finish

– Harvesting of yeast and yeast management

– Accurate data collection and record keeping

– Washing and filling casks to meet production demand

– Maintaining high levels of hygiene in the brewery


Other duties may include:

– Preparing brewing ingredients

– Stock management

– CIP of vessels/systems

– Cleaning of brewing plant and environment

– QA/QC of the product

– Loading and unloading materials safely


Minimum Requirements:

– Legal right to work in U.K.

– At least C grade GCSEs (or equivalent) in maths and English



– Forklift truck licence

– Experience working in the brewing industry

– Understanding of CIP systems and chemical usage and interaction.

– Food hygiene qualification
